Second Edition

The second edition of the contest EUROPEAN AWARD included 540 projects from Poland and 19 projects from Czech Republic, Belarus and Ukraine. 
European Award Gala ceremony was held in the Royal Castle in Warsaw on 24th of August 2018 Year.

Renovations and New constructions have been selected from 4 Categories:

  • Renovation of the cultural heritage buildings
  • New Construction
  • Renovation of a public object
  • Renovation of a small-sized building


The ceremony was graced by the concert of Polish National Song and Dance Ensemble “Śląsk” in memory of Stanisław Hadyna.

Special Guests:

  • President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce Mr. Jacek Piechota
  • Vice-President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce Mr. Andrzej Drozd
  • Head of the Certification Centre of the Institute BelNIIS Mr. Aliaksandr Milasheuski
  • First Secretary of the Embassy of the Czech Republic Mr. Jan Tomášek
  • Professor Vladimir Osadchiy from the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
  • Minister advisor Mr. Aleksander Czesnowski from the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Poland
  • II Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania Miss. Vita Naujokaitytė


CATEGORY - “RENOVATION OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE BUILDING” 
4 projects were competing in the category of “Renovation of the cultural heritage buildings” 


THE WINNER:

The title "Modernization of the Year European Award 2017" in the category "Renovation of the cultural heritage buildings" was presented to:

Reconstruction of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague

Object location: Prague, Czech Republic

Involved Companies:

Mrs. Helena Koenigsmarková Director of the Museum of decorative art In Prague and Representative of the Construction company - Avers, spol. s.r.o. were awarded during Gala ceremony.
Award was granted by First Secretary of the Embassy of the Czech Republic Mr. Jan Tomášek.


CATEGORY – “NEW CONSTRUCTION”
3 projects were competing in the category of “New Construction”


THE WINNER:


The title "Modernization of the Year European Award 2017" in the category "New Construction" was presented to:

New Construction of “Clinical Medical Center”

Object location: Zdanovichi, Reublic of Belarus

Involved Companies:

-Investor of the project – CUE “CCM of Minsk city government”
-Construction company – OAO “Strojtrest N1”
-Architect– JSC “Institute Belgosproekt” 

Representative of the “Institute Belgosproekt” was awarded during Gala ceremony.
Award was granted by Minister advisor Mr. Aleksander Czesnowski


CATEGORY – “RENOVATION OF A PUBLIC OBJECT”
3 projects were competing in the category “Renovation of a public object”


THE WINNER:

The title "Modernization of the Year European Award 2017" in the category "Renovation of a public object” was presented to:

Renovation of the Potemkin Stairs

Object location: Odessa, Ukraine

Involved Companies:

Prof. Vladimir Osadchii, Head of the Department of Hydraulic Engineering of Odessa State Academy Of Civil Engineering and Architecture, representative of the Odessa city Council was awarded during Gala ceremony.
Award was granted by President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce Mr. Jacek Piechota.


CATEGORY – “RENOVATION OF A SMALL-SIZED BULDING”
7 projects were competing in the category “Renovation of a small-sized building”


THE WINNER:

Renovation of the “Astra Hotel”

Object location: Spindleruv Mlyn, Czech Republic
